MORE EVERYTHING CROTON'S FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC.

Here's another ad we were able to salvage from the 1936 Saturday Evening Post we talked about here http://tiny.cc/gwbbgw  - A Christmas ad for RCA Victor--and the "living enchantment of the Magic Voice". That's some ad copy! Click on the ad.

This template is way out of our league but we can think of one or two putz artisans who just might find it inspirational! http://tektonten.blogspot.com/2011/01/pixar-papercraft-carls-house-miniature.html

Quite an interesting blog—The Bijou Blog—here’s a whole page of vintage Christmas – images, videos, etc. http://matineeatthebijou.blogspot.com/2011/12/celluloid-christmas-cheer.html

A wonderful 23 page booklet entitled Artistic House Painting, 1895, wonderful inspiration here for those who craft their own putz houses http://archive.org/stream/artistichousepai00john#page/n3/mode/2up

1952 The Perry Como Christmas show—the Chesterfield commercial at the beginning is worth the trip alone http://archive.org/details/thePerryComoShow-24december1952

  1. Thank you for trying to salvage as much as you can from that magazine. Incidentally, we love this series and enjoy very much learning about putz houses. We have four from the 50's, windows all intact, doors too, and now look at them with a new found respect at Christmas. We bought some bottle brush trees from Enchanted decor
