Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
Your editor and the elves were delighted to learn from Dr. Greg Schmidt (a.k.a. Mr. Summerfest) that this year's Summerfest Parade Grand Marshall is none other than long time Croton resident John Giglio (click on the photo from a 2009 village veterans ceremony.)
Giglio's roots in the village go way back and his commitment as a volunteer and much more to Croton--FROM THE RECREATION ADVISORY COMMITTEE TO THE HISTORICAL SOCIETY--needs no elaboration...BUT we'll let these links do some of the talking:

Another example of what real service to one's community actually is. It's not about making out a postcard over a latte that's for sure. Congratulations John. A well deserved honor.
