Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all
things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our
schools--in short,EVERYTHING CROTON.
As many of you know, Holy Name of Mary's Knights of Columbus recently held their annual Christmas party. This year the honoree was long long-time Croton resident, William (Bill) Ryder, for his many years of public service. (For those who don't know, Ryder was also once a village trustee.)
A special dinner was held at Cortlandt Colonial on January 15th. Here are some photos from the event, courtesy of Robert Wintermeier, all rights reserved. Copies have been sent to the parish secretary. Click on the photos.

Though it may be hard for newer people to believe, there once was a time when elected officials served in the spirit of public service not so they could get free health insurance or pad their retirement funds. Those days are gone.
