JOURNAL NEWS 9/30/14 - ELIZABETH GANGA - Hud reiterates that it, not the monitor James Johnson, decides who is and who is not on the list of communities with exclusionary zoning. As a result, towns like Croton are still in hot water--despite Trustee Gallelli's recent letter implying otherwise--a letter that's more notable for what she left out than put in (more to come.)
The Journal article states that "HUD criticized Johnson's methodology and objected to any statements that
seemed to put some towns in the clear. Johnson said HUD's criticisms
were "inadequately supported."

Read about Trustee Gallelli's congratulatory letter at the link below. Once again, despite Ms. Gallelli's assurances, the village manager stated--the same day that her letter was published in the Gazette (9/25/14):
"We do not know at this time if we are or are not on the
list of exclusionary communities as determined by the Berenson analysis."

ReplyDeleteYou can't trust anything this village tells you. Please would someone please address this in a letter to the paper so that everyone knows you just can't trust her.
ReplyDeleteSurprise! This isn't about discrimination. It's about dismantling local zoning control and putting it in the hands of Washington. Period end-of-story.
