Welcome
to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our
homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
Croton United Member Joel Gingold's Letter to the Editor, September 11, 2014
To the Editor,
It was rather surprising to see that
the Democrats have selected Ann Gallelli to be their spokesperson on
“open government.” Is this not the same Ann Gallelli, who, along with
Mayor Wiegman, conducted secret negotiations for over a year with
Barbara Sarbin of Something Good in the World (SGW) to advance the
installation of SGW’s Earth School on the Gouveia property? And is this
not the same Ann Gallelli who, along with the mayor and Ms. Sarbin,
went to great lengths to keep any knowledge of their activities, not
only from the public, but also from the other three members of the
Village Board? And is this not the same Ann Gallelli who, when asked at
a public meeting, denied any knowledge of what SGW was doing at
Gouveia? That’s not exactly what I’d call “open government.”

Joel, we are so grateful for your letters in our house. Truer words were never spoken.
ReplyDeleteWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW! Thank you Joel for dispensing your wisdom if I might paraphrase someone, giggle, you ARE so right! Linda
ReplyDeleteSorry to say that they have become the very people they looked to get rid of a long time ago. My vote goes ABC because my family and I want the focus back on Croton, not visions of sugarplums, bicycles and windmills. We are very grateful to the people who have stepped up and to all our fellow democrats who know they must look past party associations if we are to survive.
ReplyDeleteJoel,
ReplyDeleteThank you for standing up to those who think they are untouchable! We need change and we need it fast.....Croton is just not the same, we want our old village back....My vote will also go to ABC! Come on Crotonites, wake up!
