After several months of rigorous training, Probationary Active Firefighter (PAF) Tommy "Scanners" Kaplan graduated the New York State Firefighter I program. This training is over 100 hours long, and was completed during evenings and weekends at the Westchester County Fire Training Center in Valhalla. It takes a lot of dedication, courasge and committment to do what these guys do and we should never forget that they are ALL volunteers.
