Welcome
to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history,
our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools --in short, EVERYTHING
CROTON.
As many of you know, August 2014 marks the 100th anniversary of the outbreak
of the First World War, also known as THE GREAT WAR....and like so many
big cities and small towns in America, Croton-on-Hudson was there--click on the photo.
Thanks in part to the outstanding archives maintained by The Croton Historical Society, EverythingCroton started a series some months ago to commemorate this event. Here's an index to the centenary posts featuring village residents who answered the call,
ephemera from private collections, interesting links, and more.
