Welcome to EverythingCroton, a collection of all things
Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in
short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
In October of this year, the Croton Free Library and Croton
Friends of History will host a presentation of lost New York City amusement
parks from authors and educators Barbara and Wesley Gottlock (see www.crotonfriendsofhistory.org)
And so once again we're thinking about those lost amusement
parks of summers gone by. Here's Part 2--click on the photos below--featuring
the opening day of Freedomland in the Bronx 1960. To see Part 1 of Lost
Amusement Parks, go here http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2014/04/lost-amusement-parks-coming-to-croton.html

One of the best parks ever, it was hard to understand why it did not succeed.
