Welcome
to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our
homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
With permission: An important letter from Mary and John Lally on the mayor's taxpayer-funded medical benefits and the Croton Point Avenue Project/Bike Lane.
To the editor:
We supported and voted for Leo Wiegman for mayor twice. Since then, however, we have become particularly disappointed by his continued strong promotion of the Croton Point Avenue project.
Now most recently, we are saddened by his decision to take family health care insurance, paid for largely by the village's taxpayers.
Mary and John Lally
EDITOR'S NOTE: Residents should also know that the board continues it's pursuit of the Croton Point Avenue Project; it is on the agenda for the Monday Board of Trustees meeting 7/14.
Thank you for your letter. In fact thank you everyone this and last week. Unfortunately this board rules with absolute authority. They could care less what you think because they think they know best. Their behind closed door antics have gone unchecked for too long. You will do as you are told. You will pay the taxes we tell you to and you will like it or get out. It really is that simple for them. I pray every day that candidates can come forward and bring sensible government back to our poor cash strapped taxpayers.
