It's always a chore and a little sad when Christmas gets packed away--but it's also an opportunity to photograph more interesting items in your collection to share with others--and to finally fulfill a request from a reader before this goes back into the box.
To the left is a very popular item from the Radko Sparkletown line of cardboard Christmas putz house repros. It's called the Pine Valley Church, is quite large and substantial-- not to mention heavy--and in our humble opinion, one of the best they made. Click on the photo. You can still find old stock of this church available today; however most only come with a "padre" as opposed to three choir boys. You can find it--and other Radko Sparkletown stock--at Mister Nostalgia http://www.misternostalgia.zoovy.com/category/christmas.villages/
2018 update: The site appears to be down.
enjoyed this weeks edition. The Fox theater reminded me of one in a nearby town and one in which I lived for years and years.
