The 1980 blurb on "MOTHER AND DAUGHTER" features Tuesday Weld, Frances Sternhagen and Beller--who comprise the three
generations of women in this exploration of a love-hate relationship
spanning thirty years. Besides the well-oiled ensemble performances, the
film is notable for the "special appearance" by Harry Chapin and
several songs he and wife Sandy wrote. (YOU CAN ALSO READ AN EXCELLENT PIECE ON HARRY CHAPIN FROM CROTON'S OWN ROBERT SCOTT HERE) READ MORE ABOUT THE MOVIE HERE p.s. BLACK AND WHITE STILL OF PAUL NEWMAN AND BELLER, FROM FORT APACHE, HERE
And here's another unearthed goodie courtesy of Croton's own SeriousToyz--"Jackie Gleason's Funny Book for Boys and Girls, Authorized Edition",
1956, Samuel Lowe Co., 7.75" x 6.25”; die–cuts show googlie–eyes in a
different drawing on every page. For those who don't know, Gleason lived in nearby Cortlandt and was a frequent visitor to the village.
Loved Promises in the Dark. One of my favorite films.
