The inevitable occurred yesterday---TOYS R US closed the last of its US stores....Friday, June 29, 2018 02:25AM NEW YORK, N.Y. (WPVI) -Toys R Us is closing its last U.S. stores by Friday. The chain has been known to generations of children and parents for its sprawling stores, brightly colored logo and Geoffrey the giraffe mascot.
But many of the children who happily sang the "I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us kid" jingle grew into busy parents who found shopping online more convenient. READ MORE HERE.

We always preferred to go to the store directly but never at Christmas because it was always too crowded. As the years went on, that was less and less of a problem. Which was good for us since we don't like crowds. but bad for the store.
ReplyDeleteOnce your children grow into teens, there is no need to go. But in our family, it will always be "Toys for Us" which is how my son once described it when asking for a birthday present at age 3. He's now 27.
