JUST A FEW NOTES AND MORE FROM EAGLEFEST 2016 AT CROTON POINT PARK

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Despite the scattered eagle sightings at Eaglefest 2016 this year (there wasn't any ice on the river and many had gone further up for the day), EAGLEFEST 2016 was nonetheless a success--with thousands of visitors in attendance at Croton Point Park and elsewhere.

AS PROMISED, HERE ARE SOME NOTES AND MORE:

--MAYOR GREG SCHMIDT AND DEPUTY MAYOR BOB ANDERSON were joined by Talon during Teatown’s Hudson River EagleFest at Croton Point Park. Deputy Mayor Anderson welcomed the estimated 4,000 attendees to the annual event on behalf of the Village of Croton-on-Hudson. SEE MORE HERE on.fb.me/20KXYFH

--ROB & MARIA OF FEED THE BIRDS, a proud annual collaborator of this event, had this to say:  A big shout-out to Mary Haley and the rest of the Teatown crew for yet another wonderful EagleFest. See you guys in 2017! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Feed-The-Birds/124684690934636?fref=photo

--TOM CHAPIN and others gave a great performance at the park; check out this photo of Chapin--and Chris Grieco of Ferry Sloops too on.fb.me/1V3dsxW

  1. Did see two at Georges Island that day. I was a little disappointed because our family could not afford the tent this year. Still, the enthusiasm of the volunteers at various sites more than made up for it and we bought an eagle finger puppet at the FTB store for our son who was ok with how the day went. Still wish there had been more ice around.

  2. Wish they'd go back to the old way of paying something to get into the tent and then if others want to see the show paying extra. We haven't gone in years. It would have cost us $70 or so with the kids. That's half the grocery bill for the week.

  3. Love Bob and Maria all the time not just for Eaglefest!

  4. Note to Teatown: how about a discount for families and veterans?
