AN UDPATE ON RAGA IN CROTON--JUST EXCELLENT!

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

After some initial mis-fires, your editor is happy to report that Raga has hit their stride--and is often packed--and justifiably so. Their buffet is one of the best in the county, the service has been excellent, they now have their liquor license--and the Chicken Tikka Masala is to die for. A wonderful addition to the village and the area. See more here http://www.ragaindiancuisineny.com/#/

And the interior is decked out in traditional Indian style (click on the photo). See more at their FB page https://www.facebook.com/ragaindiancuisine/photos/pcb.1712973398939520/1712971932273000/?type=3&theater

  1. I agree the food is delicious, but my experience with the service has not been the same. I have been three times now. Each time I was kept waiting at the door for 20+ minutes before even being acknowledged. The waitstaff takes forever to take your order and doesn't check back during the meal. I always have to ask and wait for my check. I've gone back to the buffet inTarrytown. Hopefully service will get better at Raga.

  2. Give them another try. We found them extremely attentive and they have really hit their stride.

  3. I found the food and service to be just okay about a month ago for the lunch buffet. Dinner entree prices were a bit higher than competitors (are people paying too much to rent this space..this seems to be a tradition at this location). Might be worth another try on your say so. Will let you know.

  4. I found them to be slow a few weeks but but have gone back three times since and that problem seems to have been fixed. The prices are pretty good too considering how much they must pay in rent. I'm so glad they came to Croton and really missed when they were closed in Montrose.
