What happened? They seemed to be doing ok???????
Sorry all I know is that they are closed.
The owner, Paco, was extremely nice. Unfortunately, other than the guacamole, which was excellent, the food was very mediocre to downright bad. My fiancé and I moved to the area a year ago and went here at least once a month. Location is great for us as we live up Furnace Dock. And Paco was always so friendly and welcoming. However, other than the occasional packed Friday night, the restaurant area was always completely empty. And the bar usually had just a handful of customers. I always wondered how they managed to stay open. I hope something good comes in its place. We LOVE Mexican food, but it also seems like the area could use a good sports bar and grill.
The area had two sports bars in the last 15 years; both failed.
We loved Tenampa. Great place for girls night out. Sorry they're gone.
There is sports bar coming to 9A, across from Foodtown. I have no idea when though.
Do you mean a sports bar in the old Tenampa space? Or do you mean Holy Smoke Barbecue in the old Rocking Horse soon to open?
