POUND RIDGE VOTES NO ON CCA - On February 4, 2016, the Town Board of
the Town of Pound Ridge voted 5-0 to decline participation in
Sustainable Westchester's Community Choice Aggregation program, citing
many of the same concerns expressed by the majority of our village
board, including the issues of unreimbursable administrative costs,
Sustainable Westchester's "chaotic" rollout process for the program, the
feeling of "bait and switch" concerning potential cost savings, and the
mandatory "opt-out" nature of the program. Pound Ridge joins Croton,
which voted to decline participation on January 19, and the Town of
Cortlandt, which has deferred action on the issue with no commitment to
join at this time. (Discussion of the CCA program begins less than a
minute into the recording of the Town of Pound Ridge board meeting... https://www.facebook.com/crotonunited
