A letter to our Croton community,

A very big, heartfelt thank you goes out to our Croton Lions Club!  Not only did they recently lend our family a wheelchair in a time of need, but they also sponsored our son’s Croton Little League baseball team.  And, that team just won the Croton Little League Majors Division Championship on Saturday, June 21!  (See Photos)  Congratulations boys!!!

We would also like to thank North Country Sotheby’s International Realty for sponsoring our other son’s team, as well as all of the Croton businesses and clubs that sponsor all of the Croton Little League teams.  Without your support, the program wouldn’t be as vibrant as it is and certain players might not have the opportunity to play.  Thank you for sponsoring our teams!

We would also like to thank the Board of the Croton Little League for making this year fun and exciting for players and parents alike.  Special thanks to all of the Division VPs, the coaches and the managers, especially Jim Steinberg, Dan Osborne, Dante Cretera, Jose Martinez, Jeremy Reed, Scott Callaghan and John Brandt.  Without all of you, we wouldn’t have Little League!

And, while we are at it, a special thank you goes out to the Board of our Croton AYSO, the coaches and referees, especially Andy Gould and Laura Abbate.  We watched our child have fun, grow, and develop his skills this year, all thanks to you!

We are so blessed to live in a community of such caring and giving people, businesses and not-for-profit groups.  Not only do all of you enable our children to have fun, play and learn new skills, but you are also fabulous role models, teaching them to one day, give back to community themselves.  Thank you for a great year!
