Welcome to Everything Croton, a
collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our
businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
Last week we mentioned that restoration work had begun on the old bell tower/steeple of the historic St. Augustine's Episcopal Church in the Upper Village.
See http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2014/06/work-has-begun-on-bell-tower-st.html
Well the scaffolding is down, rich red paint has been re-applied and the bell has been polished to its former glory with just enough patina remaining. Click on the photo.

Bell especially looks good.
ReplyDeleteI noticed how vivid the red was this morning. What a difference but I have to agree the bell looks almost brand new.
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference is right, so much prettier.
