FINISHED: THE BELL TOWER @ ST. AUGUSTINE'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

Last week we mentioned that restoration work had begun on the old bell tower/steeple of the historic St. Augustine's Episcopal Church in the Upper Village.

See http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2014/06/work-has-begun-on-bell-tower-st.html

Well the scaffolding is down, rich red paint has been re-applied and the bell has been polished to its former glory with just enough patina remaining. Click on the photo.

  1. Bell especially looks good.

  2. I noticed how vivid the red was this morning. What a difference but I have to agree the bell looks almost brand new.
