MORE FABULOUS VINTAGE WEBSITES, FINDS, ETC. FROM EVERYTHING CROTON

We're always thrilled when we come across old Christmas tree photos complete with a putz village. Click on the photos below to see what we mean--along with two close-ups, circa 1920's, 1930's. Great "street lights"--bottle brush trees--and a train! With many thanks to John L. for locating and sharing.

  1. I wonder if those lights were homemade? I've never seen anything like them available commercially. They look they might be permanently mounted in that platform?

    1. They do seem permanently mounted and if I had to guess, I'd say homemade but I will have to check with our resident Christmas guy Tom H. If anyone would know, he would.
