  1. Puglisi's a good supervisor but I shudder to think what the town bd. will be like without Sloan and Lindau.

  2. My name is Bob Fiorito, Except for my service in the Army and tour in Vietnam, I lived my first 38 years in Croton. One of my best Childhood friends was Danny P Birch. Danny was a foster child and he lived with the Hughes on Terrace Pl. Danny and His Brother Tommy went to Holy Name of Mary. After Danny and Tommy located their natural Parents, Who were living in Ossining, Danny went to Los Angeles. Danny enlisted in the Marines and became a Corpsmen (Medic). Danny was sent to Vietnam. In 1965 while Danny was treating and saving two wounded Marines in a mine field and under fire. Danny and the two other marines were hit by mortar fire and all three were Killed in Action. According to the military Danny is a Californian but in actuality Danny is a Crotonite. Danny is a "HERO" from Croton and the Cortland Purple Heart should recognize Danny as a Croton Purple Heart Recipient. Please spread this news that is over 40 years old.
