Well another
Memorial Day has come and gone in the village. As always, our service was
punctuated by all the charm, respect and sincerity of small-town life. Just the way we like it here in Croton-on-Hudson!
Father
Brennan of Holy Name of Mary gave the benediction, while the Knights of Columbus
provided free bottles of icy water to stave off the heat, and another Knight
provided the accompaniment to Dorothy Ferguson, our resident Star-Spangled
Songstress. Master of Ceremonies Patrick Calcutti kept everything running
smoothly, Eugene Parrotta was a special guest)
and the high school band, under the direction of Ivelaw Carrington, did some of
their best musical work. Christine Turturro also sang Amazing Grace.
To all who worked so hard, especially behind the
scenes, to make this observance so special, thank you. Click on the link to see

Thank you for being there. It was a great service.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the photo of my daughter and me in our red white and blue (you could have put it up if you wanted to.) We can't wait to send it to the inlaws.
