SCENES FROM A CROTON 4TH OF JULY----2025

This year's July 4th holiday was truly a blessing....So much has changed....in so many ways...from the last 4 years...

While some local businesses were closed for the celebration, quite a few had limited hours but celebrated with July 4th specials, displays and tastings--- hamburgers, ribs, and hot dogs too-----and did we mention the flags?  Patriotic bunting and banners were displayed just about everywhere. Revolutionary War re-enactments returned up and down the river towns as well.  And a Croton Washington 4th Watch Party complete with barbecue chicken, ice box cakes, Baked by Susan Apple pie, and a very old, very expensive single malt scotch for a toast.

All and all, a wonderful July 4th, and so very different from last year...some minor poison ivy notwithstanding and storm-related power issues......some scenes from the day--and the day before...CLICK ON THE PHOTOS. Thank you to the village for two fabulous facebook photos.
