FROM THE SOMETHING GOOD IN THE WORLD NEWSLETTER: After the unexpected news that our Children’s Peaceful Garden and environmental education programs were not going to be considered for the park we’d originally planned on in Croton-on-Hudson, we were incredibly lucky to find a new home for our chickens, gardens, and Earth School farm-based education programs.

On page 5 of the pdf link above -- Laurel Gouveia is thanked: The
issue of the newsletter "is dedicated to the loving memory of Laurel
Gouveia and her expressed wish and vision of her home and garden being
used for environmental education, for children and families of all walks
of life. We miss you Laurel."
What a difference an election year makes and a lot of very annoyed constituents. Thanks everyone for all your hard work but there's still that $200,000 bond.
ReplyDeleteTime to read this again. An election year makes all the difference in the world that much is clear.

Hogwash. They'll be back.
ReplyDeleteSorry I don't believe this. Anybody that worked this hard to get them on the site and made the public jump through hoops with all those freedom of information requests just isn't suddenly going to listen to the public. Now more than ever it's time for a change.
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't the board telling us? Right there's the problem.
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show what can happen when people say enough is enough in an election year. Unfortunately I am in agreement with some of the posters here. Do you trust any of this after they worked so hard to get them on the site?
ReplyDeleteIf you read through SGITW's newsletter, you will see they have thanked The Estate of Laurel Gouvea for it's donation to their organization.
ReplyDeleteYes on page 5 of the pdf--Laurel Gouveia is thanked:

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo they got thrown under the bus............................................
ReplyDeleteReminds me of what they did with the C.C.A.C. and the bowhunting debacle.
DeleteLook at this. It's all kind of sad. As it's been said, had this just been handled honestly, most people wouldn't have had a problem. this entire situation has been offputting to say the least right from the start and as usual, you know just who the responsible parties are.
