While looking for something else entirely--this little gem was unearthed from the Croton-on-Hudson News, March 1939; it tells a strange tale of a land dispute on Brook Street (then known as Gab Street) from 65 years earlier--1874--perhaps you will recognize some of the names--the Baroness de Graffenreid may not be one of them--Gus Outhouse, George Ferris, NB Lent, Pierre Van Cortlandt, etal.
