Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of
all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our
schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
Croton's own Tom Faranda has posted some wonderful photos (all rights reserved) and notes on today's village Memorial Day service. There's also a video of Christine Turturro performing what has become her signature piece for these events: Amazing Grace.
For those who don't know, Christine was a recipient of a 2014 METROS AWARD--she was named outstanding leading actress for her role as the nanny in Stepinac's
"Mary Poppins."
There's also a second video at Tom's site of the Croton Harmon High School Band. Thanks Tom!

p.s. Carol from Cortlandt School of Performing Arts says that they are very proud of Christine--she studies voice there! www.cortarts.com
I actually have to say this one was one of the better services this year.
ReplyDeleteIt was one of the nicer events and it's always a pleasure to hear her sing. Official stupid comments were also kept to a minimum of just one and our officials dressed appropriately for a change.
ReplyDeleteThank you Tom for making all this available. It's really thoughtful.
Actually one official wore a shirt and tie with SHORTS.
DeleteCare to guess who HE was.....................
