Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things
Croton-- our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools --in
short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
Received the very sad news this morning that long time resident and active Holy Name of Mary member Richard Fuerst, has passed away. A really great guy--and yes, we disagreed on some things--but he had the courage of his convictions, never condescended to anyone, and always took the time to say hello. He was also ever willing to stop doing whatever he was doing and light up the church like Luna Park when your editor was in there taking photographs. (I'd like to believe that he and the late Jim Moore are having a cup of coffee--or a pint of Guiness--even as this is being typed.)
May he rest in peace, with condolences to his family.
Visitation/Wake will be Tuesday 10/14 from 6 pm to 9 pm inside Holy Name of Mary Church; mass will be on 10/15 @ 10 a.m., Holy Name of Mary Church.
