TRENDING ON SOCIAL MEDIA THIS FINE FRIDAY

Many of us are not on social media but we get to hear about it periodically and are sometimes sent screenshots...and now in no particular order:

***LOTS OF CHATTER ABOUT THE TOWN OF CORTLANDT'S 250TH efforts---largely viewed as "exceptional" and "outstanding"---with major kudos to town officials, Supervisor Becker and staff.....

***LOTS OF CHATTER ABOUT THE UPCOMING PIGEON SITUATION/PUBLIC HEARING ON 9/2, THE UPCOMING BATTERY STORAGE FACILITY, CAMERAS AND MORE; HERE'S THE CROTON.NEWS SITE: EverythingCroton: FROM THE NEW CROTON.NEWS AI SITE----CROTON SETS SEPT 2 PIGEON HEARING AS FLOCK'S OWNER PLEADS TO KEEP HIS BIRDS--6 FIRMS ANSWER BATTERY STORAGE INQUIRY, POLICE DETAIL LICENSE PLATE READER NETWORK AND BODY CAM ROLLOUT

***Friends tell us--with a mix of relief and amusement--that a VILLAGE facebook page relentlessly plagued by TDS, Israel-hatred, trans-madness, and more---not to mention bots and anonymous posters as well---and which now has a new name--Unnecessarily Unhinged.....continues its descent into the abyss....and there is much joy that Croton is no longer associated with it.

***Chatter STILL continues about the latest high school rankings; much disappointment that Croton isn't on the list
EverythingCroton: CROTON DID NOT MAKE THE LIST---NEW RANKING OF THE HUDSON VALLEY TOP 15 HIGH SCHOOLS RELEASED BY US NEWS

***LOTS OF CHATTER still ABOUT THE 100 UNITS OF "AFFORDABLE HOUSING" coming to Lot A, the housing possible at the Straddles site, and essentially the dividing of the village into "affordable" versus....NOT.....the village's pro-housing status and folks asking if it is more profitable to sell as a tear down for multi-family depending on where they are in the village.....some very heated conversation--also this news being hotly discussed EverythingCroton: LOT A NEEDED ON SITE SEWER IMPROVEMENTS/MONEY -- WESTCHESTER STEPPED IN WITH A MILLION TO ALLOW FOR ITS CONSTRUCTION

***Still lots of chatter about the coming pot shop.......AND more cannabis shops in the C2 area
