GLORIA SWANSON FASHION---THE FOREVER YOUNG LINE BY PURITAN

A reader mentioned that her mother owned four pieces of what she called  her "serious clothing"---there was the dark suit for funerals and wakes---followed by the black cocktail dress and fur stole for formal evening events and weddings--and finally the navy-blue striped dress for her quarterly Tupperware parties.

And as it turned out, all of these were from the GLORIA SWANSON FOREVER YOUNG LINE (EXCEPT FOR THE FAUX FUR STOLE, maker unknown and long forgotten).
