US ambassador to UN slaps down Zohran Mamdani’s threat to have Benjamin Netanyahu arrested--Mike Waltz, US ambassador to the United Nations, said on Saturday that New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s threat to have Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrested during the UN General Assembly is “pure political theater.”

“Mayor Mamdani. Here’s why your threat to arrest Prime Minister Netanyahu’s in New York City during UN General Assembly is not going to happen,” the US envoy stated.  “The United States is not party to the Rome Statute that underlies the International Criminal Court.
