A CROTON TORNADO--FROM THE MAILBOX

As many of you are aware, a tornado watch was in effect till 9 pm last night.  This was posted across multiple Croton sites.  Thankfully, it did not occur.

But a reader noted that there was a confirmed tornado in Rye Book yesterday (read more at Matthew Cappucci on X: "A confirmed tornado caused damage in Rye Brook, New York this afternoon as a rotating thunderstorm propagated east-northeast along a spin-rich warm front. Radar clearly confirms tornado. NWS Upton will be surveying to rate the tornado damage. https://t.co/a289qnF0Dc" / X

She additionally wondered if there have ever been any reported tornados here.
