STROLLING ON NORTH RIVERSIDE, A PHOTO ALBUM COURTESY OF CROTON UNITED

Mayor Greg Schmidt and Deputy Mayor Bob Anderson strolled along North Riverside Avenue today to check out the grand opening of The Pop Up Boutique at Ray's, ask about the value of some 1960s comic books at 3rd Universe and cool off with a drink at The Tavern at Croton Landing.

The Pop Up Boutique at Ray's features a variety of vendors selling clothing, jewelry, bags, and skincare and health products. See their Facebook page for future dates and times.

3rd Universe sells comic books, graphic novels and related games, cards and toys. Owner Bryan Deyo—a member of Rotary Club of Croton on Hudson—also fixes computers, laptops, copiers, printers and plotters. He regularly hosts parties and gaming events at the store so it’s not surprising that 3rd Universe was a 2016 Best of Westchester Editor’s Pick as the “Best Hang Out for Kids.”  CLICK ON THE LINK TO SEE THE PHOTO ALBUM  https://www.facebook.com/crotonunited/posts/823703967786636

  2. I grew up in Croton ( 1963-1979) at 32 brook street in a home that, in 1938, was also the original "Perfume factory" selling perfumes under the name of Compagnie-Parento, inc. the home remains the same. Now, Ray's (Aka GOOMBA'S) was the neighborhood grocery store. When I came back to visit croton in 2008, it was still open by GOOMBA'S widow Mary but by then it was named Ray's.

I'm glad to see the original integrity of the building remains untouched.
