Welcome
to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history,
our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our houses of
worship--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
It's no secret--your editor is a big fan of The Duck Pond--in any season (click on the photo). Pronounced dead and on its way to becoming a swamp by a former official some years ago, a citizens committee formed instead, did their homework, and found a way to save this local treasure--now home to a steady turtle population (http://bit.ly/2tFtyYj), mallards (http://bit.ly/2r2Tdv5), the occasional swan (http://bit.ly/2u4tbIU)--muskrats too--and so many butterflies at the now well-established--and certified butterfly garden. The invasive phragmites are now under control as well. See more Seasons of the Duck Pond for July 2017 here http://bit.ly/2v2QkJ9
Can't get enough Duck Pond? Here's only some of the related links you may enjoy below--p.s. get a picnic takeout from the nearby Croton Mini Deli crotonminideli.com or dine in at Croton Colonial right across the street from the pond http://bit.ly/2sWOTzn

Beautiful photographs Maria. Jonquil and I like to have breakfast from the deli (best egg and cheese ever) at the pond. No more green slime!
