Vincent A. Matero a lifelong resident of Croton-on-Hudson, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 7, 2016. He was 100 years old.Vincent was born on April 2, 1916 to the late Francesco and Francesca (Ferrara) Matero of Pamarico, Italy. He worked and retired from New York Central Railroad as Conductor. He was a very proud WWII Navy Veteran who served in the Atlantic and Pacific Theatres. Vincent served as the Past Commander of the Fox-Elkof American Legion Post in Croton-on-Hudson for over 30 years. This year April 2, 2016 was named Vincent Matero Day in Croton and he was honored to serve as the Grand Marshall in the Croton Summer Fest. Read THE REST OF THE OBIT at http://bit.ly/1PKOdCy
