Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things
Croton -- our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools, our
houses of worship -- in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.
As many of you know, three baby Horned Owls were born at Croton Point Park. The willow tree where the nest is located has been cordoned off at a respectable distance. Please remember your Owl Etiquette. Loud noises, screaming children, and unleashed dogs can be a major disturbance! Respect their space! Stay on the other side of the barricades! Click on the photo to see two of the babies.
So far--with a little help from the DEC and many others--they've survived major winds, falls out of the nest, etc. Read and see much more--courtesy of the Croton Point Park FB page https://www.facebook.com/pages/Croton-Point-Park/113811265626666?fref=ts

Did YOU stay behind the barricades to get that photo?
ReplyDeleteIt's called a telephoto lens. Why aren't YOU happy these beautiful creatures are still alive thanks to good people watching?
DeleteWell I can certainly see why you moderate comments! Thanks Maria for the update. I wish I could get out there to see them but the knees....
