FROM A BETTER GREENBURGH: Monday, April 4, 2016 - Opt-OUT Is Finally Here - Many of our readers have been following the scheme hatched by Mr Feiner
to offer lower utility rates. We say scheme because when we read the
fine print and discuss this with others, the money that might be saved
is nowhere close to the $400-600 he promised. In fact, residents may
wind up paying more by joining the ESCO or energy savings co-op! We are
hearing from residents that the opt-OUT postcards have arrived.
Below is a copy of the front and back of the letter that accompanies the
postcard, the postcard itself and the envelope it is mailed in. The
reason we are including the envelope is that it can easily be mistaken
for junk mail.
When you read the accompanying letter, it references ConEd Solutions.
This is not your typical ConEd company. Rather, it is an off-shoot
company owned by ConEd to do ESCO projects like this.

P.S. TO THE ANONYMOUS POSTER who keeps insisting that savings of almost $500 annually will occur, please stop. You just look incredibly foolish. Additionally, Scarsdale has NOT joined the CCA, as well as Pound Ridge. Your information is wrong.
EDITOR'S NOTE: THE TOWN OF CORTLANDT HAS NOT JOINED, AS WELL AS CROTON AND A NUMBER OF OTHER COMMUNITIES.
I live in the town not the village and want to thank my board for putting our welfare above party loyalty.
ReplyDeleteGreat sleuth work!
ReplyDeleteThank you but there was no "sleuth work" involved. Residents in the affected communities are keeping everyone informed from Ossining to Pleasantville to Greenburgh.
DeleteIf that mailing arrived in our house, we would have probably thrown it out. It is kind of misleading????? Or am I just not reading it right??? Can someone explain???????
ReplyDeleteSTAY TUNED!
ReplyDeleteDamn glad we have nothing to do with this.
