GOUVEIA DISCUSSION AT SENIORS RECEIVES UNFAVORABLE RESPONSE

On Friday, July 12th, the Seniors Club held their regularly scheduled meeting and coffee in the Community Room. The village manager arrived to discuss a few issues, among them the Gouveia property. Let it suffice to say that not one attendee spoke in favor of this acquisition and when informed that the lawyers were "talking", CLEARLY pronounced this a "done deal". When asked how much taxpayer money has been spent thus far regarding the deal, Mr. Zambrano stated that approximately $10,000 had been spent for the consultant study of the site. This does not include the legal costs currently being incurred from these "talks".

    Let her give it to a non profit. If it's a nature non-profit we'll have access. Why should we take it? Oh I forgot. It's a friend thing.
