This is one of our small town events that really does so much for the community in general and draws people into town in a real meaningful bottom line way. I overheard at least twice people talking about what a great place this would be to live, how quiet it is, how it has cute little shops. If only it were possible for the grass is greener elsewhere crowd to just stop and appreciate what we have the way people from the outside too. One couple said they were going to look at houses here next year. Stores in Harmon actually saw increased business. This is the way you do it. Not blanket re-zoning, not pie-in-the sky fantasies and certainly not by inviting garbage in for a DPW building.
