On April 21, the Woman’s
Club of Peekskill-Cortlandt held their first-ever tag sale to benefit their
assorted charitable endeavors.
Sponsored by Feed the Birds (862-4700, 326 S.
Riverside Ave. in the Heart of Harmon), the sale, coupled with Shop Cortlandt week and the Asbury annual tag sale, drew in visitors from throughout
the area--and the parking lot, not to mention the street, was packed! The club raised a
little over a thousand dollars that day as a result!
Mayra Caguano of Mex-To-Go also
generously provided free food for all the volunteers (http://everythingcroton.blogspot.com/2012/03/we-love-mex-to-go.html)

The generosity of our business community is a beautiful thing.

It never ceases to amaze me the generosity of our fellow business people. It's so nice that we all work together to support one another and special causes.
ReplyDeleteThe Woman's club is such a small group of some of the best women. We try our best to make a positive impact on the community in which we live. Even the things left over from the sale went to a gift shop in Peekskill that benefits the mental health.
We are thankful for the wonderful weather and all those who attended and purchased our
items for their homes. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you Bob and Maria for letting us rain havoc on your business and to Mayra who made sure we were well feed. Also a big thank you to Maria our photographer around town who captured this special moment.
Congratulations on the club's continued good work and much success to ALL the businesses that step up.
ReplyDeleteGREAT WORK EVERYONE!
