CROTON-ON-HUDSON'S GOLDEN JUBILEE 1898-1948
In 1948, Croton on Hudson celebrated its “Golden
Jubilee”. From September 19th
through the 26th, the village held parades, dances, concerts,
science and art exhibitions, the list goes on and on. Courtesy of the Croton-on-Hudson

That was some program of events. Compare that to Croton's "centennial" "celebrations", a poor shadow.
