POST STORM SUNDAY NIGHT UPDATED:
Residents on Brook St. were evacuated last night when a telephone pole snapped and brought down several along with it.
They were taken to the municipal building.

Thank you. Alot of people especially the elderly are still without power or phones. Why not stop in to see if they need anything.
ReplyDeleteI think some of the problem here is that these transformers are way too heavy for these pole and that some of these poles haven't been replaced in decades. It may be cheaper to use wooden poles but in the end, if you're going to have all your lines above ground instead of buried like newer communities, is there really any savings when events like these occur.
