Once again, a reader happily shared some homegrown corn---and it was very good--we had it fresh off the grill-----BUT she also got wistful for the old days and "corn season" at Croton Country Gardens. Sourced from a small farm in Somers and an heirloom variety, that type has never been encountered since....but she's getting closer! And all the recent rain seems to have made the variety she planted a bit sweeter this year.
Cookie retired a few years back and the site is now home to Pedra Rustica US - Stone - Tile - Roof & Facade Coverings - Outdoor Living.
