POST ELECTION 2017: WESTCHESTER TAXES TO GO UP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A DECADE

LOHUD--Westchester: Legislature budget deal raises taxes, has votes to override veto--It appears Westchester residents will be paying higher property taxes for the first time in nearly a decade. The deal hashed out by the Board of Legislators Friday calls for a 2 percent property tax hike to balance a $1.8 billion budget — and they say they have the votes to override any veto from outgoing County Executive Rob Astorino.
