Joseph Michael Agosta of Croton-on-Hudson, NY passed away on
Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at the age of 94. Joseph was born to Rosario and Mary
Agosta on April 21, 1922 in Bridgeport, CT. Joseph proudly served in the United
States Army in both Africa and Europe. He was a member of the Croton-on-Hudson
VFW Post was also a lifelong member of the Columbian Hook & Ladder of
Croton-on-Hudson, NY. He is survived by his loving daughter Rosemary Coxen and
son-in-law Robert Coxen, adored grandsons Robert and Ryan Coxen, and by several
nieces, nephews, and friends. Joseph was predeceased by his wife Lucy Agosta in
2012. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2016 from
5-8PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St. Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A
mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10AM at
Holy Name of Mary Church Croton-on-Hudson, NY with burial to follow at St.
Augustine Cemetery in Ossining, NY.
