Monica Josephine Karales Stepanek Charleston - Monica Josephine Karales Stepanek, 77, of Charleston, SC, wife of William D. Stepanek, died Saturday, June 25, 2016. Her funeral service was held on Monday, June 27, 2016, in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity, 30 Race Street, at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Bethel Cemetery in Croton on Hudson, NY at 11:00 am on Saturday, July 2, 2016. Monica was born May 31, 1939 in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, daughter of the late Alexander Poltera and Sulamit Streiff Poltera. She was an artist and a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity. She was a loving wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, William; two sons, Alexandros D.
