In the absence of any information from the board on these events--and the board's documented unwillingness to answer any direct questions from the public during what is now called "public comments" (as opposed to citizen participation) at board meetings, a freedom of information request was submitted to the village in order to ascertain what was happening. That request was answered today. Click on the images below to see a November 17, 2014 hand delivered letter addressed to Mayor Wiegman and the Board of Trustees regarding the special permit application received to re-open the site. The attachments are not being provided here for reasons of time and space.
A review of the public court docket in this matter indicates that there is a "Settlement Conference, 9:30 ORAL ARG ON ECPCONF" scheduled for May 15th. The argument is public and someone should be able to go and observe. In the continued absence of information from the board, additional foil requests--as always--will be required.

ReplyDeleteHere we go again. If as they say they are truly opposed to the garbage coming back, why all the dam secrecy? All this info is public if you look. So why not just tell us along the way.
