PART TWO-CROTON CHRISTMAS MEMORIES 1938-1950

Welcome to Everything Croton, a collection of all things Croton--our history, our homes, our issues, our businesses, our schools--in short, EVERYTHING CROTON.

INTRODUCING CROTON MEMORIES, a new series that will focus on Croton from the 1940's through the 1970's, more or less.

CROTON CHRISTMAS MEMORIES – PART 2: So just how long has the Croton Lions Club been selling Christmas trees in Croton? Thanks to the Croton Historical Society, we know that in the very least, the Lions were selling them as far back as 1949-1950—click on the photo--and probably way before that too. And guess what. There once was a time when a toaster was a welcome gift—and all you had to do was go to Sol Gerstein’s for it. Click on the link below for some more Croton Christmas Memories, Part Two, 1938 to 1950. More coming soon--with special thanks again to THE CROTON HISTORICAL SOCIETY: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22283683@N07/sets/72157627810031344/
