THE TOWN FOR GRIEVANCE ISSUES NOW

The 2025 Tentative Assessment Roll for the Town of Cortlandt has been published.

The Village of Croton-on-Hudson is sharing this information as the Village Board of Trustees have voted to no longer serve as an assessing unit. Starting in 2026, Village tax bills will be generated using the values found on the town assessment roll. To learn more about the assessment consolidation process, you may click here.

If you feel your property is not fairly assessed or your exemption application was denied, you may file a grievance application with the Town Assessor's office no later than 8 p.m. on Grievance Day, which is June 17, 2025. Complaint forms and procedures for contesting an assessment are available online on the Assessor's page. The grievance application RP-524 can be accessed here. In addition, you may access the publication titled Contesting Your Assessment in NYS.

The Board of Assessment Review in the Town of Cortlandt will conduct hearings by appointment from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Grievance Day, which is June 17, 2025.

Please contact the Town Assessor's office at 914-734-1040 or assessor@townofcortlandt.com to schedule an appointment for Grievance Day or need any additional information. Town of Cortlandt Grievance Day Information | Croton-on-Hudson NY
