SERVICE INFO AND OBITUARY FOR VITO CALCUTTI

Vito N. Calcutti, Sr. – 87 of Croton on Hudson passed away on Thursday June 10, 2021. 

Vito was born in Croton on Hudson NY on November 15, 1933 and was the son of the late Nicholas and Rose (Ciulla) Calcutti. Vito was a graduate of Croton Harmon High School. He married Virginia Abreau on May 14, 1961 at St. Augustine’s Church. He was a veteran of the US Airforce during the Korean War. He was a retired foreman with the Village of Croton DPW. He then worked with the Croton School District as a bus driver. Mr. Calcutti was a member of the Croton Fire Department, Washington Engine for 70 years. He was also a member of the Red Knights. He was a member of the American Legion post # 505 in Croton. He was a parishioner of St. Augustine’s Church in Ossining. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Calcutti is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Virginia; her 2 children Vito (Patty) and Darlene (Kenneth) Garrett; 4 grandchildren Christopher, Kenneth Jr., Brian and Montana. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 4-8pm. The funeral mass will be held Monday 10am at St. Augustine’s Church 381 North Highland Avenue Ossining. The interment will follow at St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
