If you have not yet visited the Croton Estuary at the parking lot in the winter, dress warmly---recent cold days have finally produced ice on the shallow waters, and its reflective qualities are almost magical. Your visit may also be rewarded when you spot the occasional eagle, merganser duck, and pintail.
