This past Tuesday night, members of Explorer Post 2089 held
a drill in the quarters of Tower Ladder 44. Under the guidance of members from
TL44, the younger generation of Croton's Bravest practiced putting on their
gear, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus, searching and communicating.
Explorer Post 2089 is for young men and women, ages 14-17, that
can learn and train with our firefighters. Explorers are also allowed to
respond to emergencies and participate in many of the functions of our
department. If you have any interest in joining this incredible group,
send an email to info@crotonfd.org. Explorer Post 2089 will be celebrating their 35th year of
service in 2017 - making it one of the oldest in Westchester!
